Your private 4-day tour starts with a hotel pick-up in Tangier. We’ll head straight to Chefchaouen, also known as the “blue pearl” of Morocco. Wander through its charming narrow streets adorned with green plants and red roses, stroll beside the serene river, and enjoy mint tea in the grand square, Plaza Uta el Hamam. After lunch, we’ll travel to Fes to rest and prepare for the next day’s adventure.
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll journey to the Merzouga Sahara Desert through the picturesque High and Middle Atlas mountains. We’ll stop in Ifrane, often called “Morocco’s Little Switzerland,” and drive through Azrou, the Ziz Valley, and visit Midelt and the fossils in Erfoud. Upon reaching Merzouga, enjoy a popular camel ride into the desert, ending the day with dinner and traditional Berber music under the starry sky at a desert camp.
Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise in Merzouga. After a camel ride back to Merzouga village, we’ll drive towards Rissani, explore Tafilalet (the origin of Morocco’s Alaouite dynasty), and then travel to the Todgha Gorge. Our journey continues to the Dades Valley, where we’ll spend the night in a riad, enjoying dinner.
After breakfast, we’ll explore the Valley of Roses and Skoura, visit a movie studio in Ouarzazate, and continue to Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most renowned fortified cities in the world. We’ll cross the Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass and drive to your accommodation in Marrakech, marking the end of our 4-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech via the Merzouga Sahara.
