We will drive through the Rif Mountains and Tetouan city, enjoying beautiful mountain views until we reach Chefchaouen. This stunning village at the foot of the Rif Mountains features a Spanish-style square surrounded by arts and crafts stores, rooftop restaurants, and cafes. Spend the night in a cozy riad or hotel.
After breakfast, we head towards Volubilis, crossing through Ouazzane and other Rif villages. Discover the Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan history. We then proceed to Meknes, a 17th-century city, for lunch and a tour of the historical medina, including Bab El Mansour and the Moulay Ismail shrine. In the evening, we drive to Fes for an overnight stay.
Explore the oldest city in Morocco, walking through its alleys and narrow streets. Visit the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter (Mellah), Al Quaraouiyine University, the tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, visit a tiles cooperative and enjoy a panoramic view of the Fes medina. Overnight at a hotel or riad.
Travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud, passing through the Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge. Notice the changing scenery as you approach the desert city of Errachidia. After lunch, continue along the Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views on the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon, where you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before starting your camel ride to a desert camp. Enjoy Berber music and sandboarding before spending the night in the camp.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then return to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. Leave the desert and drive through the Saghro mountains, taking a short walk through Todra Gorge before arriving in Dades Valley for dinner and accommodation in a local riad or hotel.
