Itinerary

Day 1 - Casablanca to Rabat and Fes (294 km)

Start your tour with a hearty breakfast at your accommodation, then head towards Fes. On the way, stop in Meknes, a city under the Middle Atlas mountains. Visit notable sites including the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy lunch in Meknes before continuing to Fes. Upon arrival in Fes in the afternoon, check into your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

 

Day 2 - Explore Fes City with a Local Guide

After breakfast, dedicate the day to exploring Fes. This magnificent city is divided into three zones: Fez el-Bali (the old part), Fes el-Jdid (the modern part), and the French side. The city is one of the largest medieval sites with endless streets. Key attractions include The Mellah (Jewish Quarter), the Plaza of the Dyers, Fes el-Bali (the medieval medina), Fes el-Jdid (the new medina), and the Andalusian Mosque. After the sightseeing tour, return to your riad for dinner and an overnight stay.

 

Day 3 - Fes to Azrou, Midelt, Ziz Valley, and Merzouga Sahara (469 km)

After breakfast, continue the excursion towards the Merzouga desert, making several stops at interesting sites. Visit Ifrane, known for its cooler climate and European architecture, and then Azrou, home to extinct volcanoes and cedar forests with friendly monkeys. Stop for lunch in Midelt, then head to the Ziz Valley to admire its red gorges, large oasis, and adobe kasbahs. In the late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, prepare for your camel trek, and set off into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Arrive at the desert camp, enjoy a typical Moroccan dinner, live music with drums, and a campfire under the starry sky.

 

Day 4 - Explore Merzouga Area and Visit a Nomad Family (45 km)

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. Afterward, visit a nomad family and enjoy lunch under the shade of a tree, tasting Berber pizza. In the afternoon, take a 4×4 route through the desert to see an oasis, visit the village of Khamlia (known for its dark-skinned inhabitants originally from Mali), explore the Meffes Mines, and meet Berber nomads living at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Return to the camp for dinner, music, and an overnight stay in a Berber tent.

 

Day 5 - Merzouga Sahara Desert to Rissani, Draa Valley, and Ouarzazate (368 km)

In the morning, camel trek back to the riad for breakfast and a shower. Continue the trip to Rissani to visit a large market with various goods like handicrafts, carpets, and food. After lunch, travel towards the Draa Valley, stopping to take photos of the stunning scenery. Arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay at your accommodation.

 

Day 6 - Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Haddou and Marrakech (195 km)

After breakfast, visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, a World Heritage Site with mixed Islamic and Jewish influences. Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a well-preserved fortified city and UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for being a filming location for famous movies like Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. Then, visit the Kasbah of Telouet, once a key passage to Marrakech, now charming despite its deterioration. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, making several stops to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon and head to your accommodation, marking the end of the 6-day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech.

Do I need a sleeping bag for the night in desert?

No, you don’t need a sleeping bag, at our 4 days tour Tangier to Marrakech, you will stay at an equipped desert camp with all amenities.

Is there any other way to reach the camp instead of Camels?

Yes, as we mentioned in the includes list, regarding travelers who don’t like to go on camels, we use a 4×4 car to transfer them to and from the camp, without any extra charge as well. You just need to inform us at the time of booking.

How to book this tour? Any Cancelation policy?

To confirm the 4 days tour Tangier to Marrakech, we require a small deposit to be paid over PayPal, Wise, or bank transfer to our account, the balance is payable in cash at the pick-up, to be paid to your driver in euros, or equal in dollars or dirhams.

Is it possible to pay the entire with PayPal?

Usually, we request the balance payments in cash because PayPal also has many transaction fees and operational delays since it’s a world institution.

We can in some cases accept the complete payment via Paypal however a 5% fee is going to be applied to hide the additional transaction charges. just in case you’re considering this method, it’s best to rearrange the payment before the tour.
